The workshop aims to raise the awareness of people wishing to become BSL Interpreters and qualified Interpreters who want to specialise in the field of mental health and deafness.

Sessions include:

  • What is Mental Health? A look at the causes of mental health problems and how they occur in Deaf people;
  • The Deaf person's journey;
  • The services available: both general and specialist Deaf;
  • Deaf professional's in Mental Health;
  • Meetings in mental health, tribunals and Mental Health Sections.   

The workshop is conducted in BSL.
