Breaking Away from English into the Visual Vernacular
Due to popular demand we have arranged an extra date during the summer for this one day workshop. If you are are an Interpreter or have Level 4 in BSL and are interpreting training, or working towards qualification this one day workshop offers you the opportunity to explore a different medium of non verbal communication.
Trainer Jean St Clair will work with you to develop your ‘visual vernacular’ . It includes exploring characterisation, and role shift.
The day will include:
- Exploration of what the Visual Vernacular is
- Exercises and creative games to develop 'non verbal' communication skills
- Exploration of ways to portray characters and places without the use of English or BSL
- Creating your own piece of visual work.
On completion you will receive a certificate of attendance and 8 ASLI CPD credits.
Fee: £95 inclusive of VAT
