Part 2 of the Signature Level 6 NVQ Certificate in BSL assesses candidates on their ability to meet the Signature qualification specification and follows the training component of this programme (Part 1).
Candidates will be assessed on their ability to extract and communicate complex information from a wide range of sources, even at speed, with occasional inaccuracy which they are able to correct. Candidates will be assessed on their familiarity with a range of regional variations, formal and informal language, relevant technical vocabulary and colloquialisms. Also candidates be assessed on their ability to participate in negotiations, dealing with complaints, problems or disputes. We will also assess skills relating to making effective use of the telephone/videophone and web-based live communications.
Candidates will be assessed on their ability to discuss all topics within their field, even when abstract or complex, and keep conversation going smoothly. Language skills used to enhance relationships with individuals and groups will be assessed also.
